A Typical Day
A typical day at EAPC keeps the children busy and engaged, learning through all types of hands-on activities, games, songs, movement, and play sessions. Our multi-age program allows a range of skills to be taught, scaffolding from exposure for our 3-year-olds to extension, mastery, and challenge for our 4-year-olds. After extensive observation and evaluation at the beginning of the school year, we are able to teach each child according to their readiness and developmental level. We especially focus on this during our “Small Group Instruction” time when we break the children into groups according to their age.

| 9:25-9:30 | Teamwork Clean-Up | “Working together for a happy classroom”…children use teamwork to clean up and ready the school for the day’s activities |
| 9:30-9:55 | Circle Time | Morning Greeting, Daily Job Assignment, & ABC Exercises Calendar Weekly “Theme Talk” Daily Letter Review & Practice |
| 9:55-10:15 | Snack & Busy Box Play Time | Time to refuel, socialize and share stories, and learn to clean up after eating, then explore a number of different types of table toys that stimulate our minds and our senses…busy boxes are filled with exciting toys like play-doh, sensory balls, pop tubes, legos, writing boards, unifex cubes, and more…and rotated on a monthly basis! |
| 10:15-10:30 | Music & Movement | May include any of the following… *simple finger play songs that align with our “Theme of the Week” *bean bag play set to music *parachute & scarf play set to music *instrument play set to music |
